In Memory of Katheen Lyons-Bunna

K Lyons14

It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our beloved OCHRS Board Member, Kathleen Lyons-Bunna. Most of you remember Kathleen as the energetic, friendly, smiling face at each of our monthly OCHRS meetings.
Kathleen joined the OCHRS Board of Directors in 2004, serving as Vice President of Diversity until 2006. In 2007, she served as President-Elect and in 2008, she began her two-year term as President of our organization. In 2010, she remained on our Board as Past President. Additionally, she was recently elected to the Secretary/Treasurer position on the Oklahoma State Council for Human Resource Management. She was a certified Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) and obtained her Global Professional in Human Resources (GPHR) certification in May 2010, one of only a handful of professionals in the state to earn this certification.
Her fellow Board members remember her as a strong and devoted leader. She led with her heart and was a champion in our profession.   Kathleen was also courageous.  She was not afraid to tackle issues that were important to our members, our chapter, our profession, and our community.  Because of her strong and courageous leadership, she influenced our profession and our organizations to be all they can be, to be compassionate and fair, and to do all of this with integrity and grace.
The OCHRS Board has set up a family support trust account at Mid First Bank. Contributions may be directed to:
