It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our beloved OCHRS Board Member, Kathleen Lyons-Bunna. Most of you remember Kathleen as the energetic, friendly, smiling face at each of our monthly OCHRS meetings.
Kathleen joined the OCHRS Board of Directors in 2004, serving as Vice President of Diversity until 2006. In 2007, she served as President-Elect and in 2008, she began her two-year term as President of our organization. In 2010, she remained on our Board as Past President. Additionally, she was recently elected to the Secretary/Treasurer position on the Oklahoma State Council for Human Resource Management. OKCBiz presented the top 30 companies with awards at the Best Places to Work in Oklahoma in Oklahoma reception and dinner May 15 at the National Cowboy and Western Heritage Museum.
Selected companies were grouped in categories of small/medium companies (25 to 249 employees) and large companies (more than 250 employees). Large company U.S. Cellular and small/medium company Delta Dental of Oklahoma took top honors.
The selection process included the Best Companies Group engaging Modern Think, a workplace excellence consulting firm, to independently conduct an employee survey and assessment of each company

The Oklahoma State Council for Human Resources Management is excited to officially Welcome Oklahoma’s newest Human Resources chapter – Western Oklahoma HR (WOKHR)!
After several years of working toward meeting the criteria set forth by National SHRM to affiliate as an official Oklahoma HR chapter, the day finally arrived! Members of WOKRH’s chapter, guests from OSCHRM State Council and SHRM’s Field Services Director recently attended WOKHR’s luncheon to celebrate their affiliation.
