About the Council
Message from the Director: It is my sincere pleasure to welcome you to the Oklahoma State Council for Human Resource Management website. The Oklahoma State Council for Human Resource Management serves more than 2,300 human resources professionals within the State of Oklahoma who are members of the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM), local chapters and student affiliate chapters.
The Oklahoma State Council for Human Resource Management is an affiliate of the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM)—the leading membership association for over 250,000 human resources professionals, world-wide. The Oklahoma State Council for Human Resource Management was officially recognized by Society for Human Resource Professionals (SHRM) in 1987. The Council is directed by a number of outstanding volunteer leaders whose collective contributions to the profession resulted in strong growth and excellent programming throughout the State.
OSCHRM is pointing the way by Connecting Oklahoma through Meaningful Partnerships Achieving Social Responsibility and Successful Practices. The State Council has 30 Board members (which includes Chapter Presidents). They represent leading organizations throughout the state and they are educators, consultants, legal professionals, human resources practitioners, community leaders, entrepreneurs, and business persons. I’m excited about 2010, because you will see results from this dedicated and talented group of volunteer leaders!
Our 12 chapters provide tremendous opportunities for human resources professionals to develop their careers and build invaluable networking relationships.
